Why did Curie change the deodorant stick formula? 

Our team is always looking to improve our products, and we truly value the feedback from you, our community. After hearing “sticky application”, “pilling” and “clumpy/crumbly” we started working on a smoother, yet still effective, deodorant stick formula…

We set out to make our deodorant base more moisturizing with more ‘glide’ to it when applying. We then put it to the test and sent the new formula to 1,000 customers, and here’s what they had to say:

• Over 99% of customers who tried the new formula said they prefer it over the current formula!
• 99% of respondents said the new formula was smooth & moisturizing
• 95% said it did not cause irritation
• 93% said they prefer the new formula over other clean deodorant brands

What ingredients changed in the formula and why?

Our new formula introduces 3 new natural heroes: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Tapioca Starch, and Zinc Ricinoleate to enhance glide ability, reduce crumbling, and nurture your skin. 3 clean ingredients that will bring extra comfort to your pits. 

• Smoother and more moisturizing thanks to the substitution of:
• Coconut Oil → Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride
• Hydrogenated Castor Oil → Sunflower Seed Oil, Safflower Seed Oil, and Zinc Ricinoleate 
• No more crumbling thanks to softer powders being used:
• Arrowroot Powder → Tapioca Starch
• Now considered a Vegan formula!
• Beeswax → Ozokerite

What hasn’t changed in the deodorant stick formula?

Consider it your same tried and true effective Curie formula, but with less crumbling and stiffness when applying. Many of the skin-loving, odor-fighting, high-quality ingredients you love have not changed, including Triethyl Citrate, Prickly Pear Fruit Extract, Aloe, Chamomile Extract, Vitamin E Oil, and Sodium Bicarbonate.

What scents are available in the new formula?

Our new Warm Vanilla scent is currently the only deodorant stick containing our new formula – available now! However, we will incorporate the new formula into ALL of our deodorant stick signature scents in the coming months! You can expect all scents to be available in the new formula by Spring 2024.
